Dear Colleagues,

Greetings and Mabuhay!

We are pleased to inform you that the Philippine Association of School Librarians, Inc.(PASLI), will conduct its 40th general assembly and national conference entitled “Getting Your School Library Future Ready” on April 25-27, 2018 at Bayfront Hotel, Kaohsiung St, Cebu City.

The seminar-workshop aims to help administrators, professional librarians and non-professionals working in both public and private school libraries to:

1. be aware of new updates in collection development and readers’ services;
2. understand the value of emerging literacies among young learners;
3. determine leadership techniques that can improve the performance of library personnel;
4. promote love of Philippine culture and history.

Topics include:
-Trends in 21st century libraries
-Emerging trends in young adult readers’ services
-Gamified libraries
-Information and media literacy instruction
-Research in school libraries
-Collection development

Early bird payments should be settled on or before March 9, 2018.
Registration fee will cover expenses for snacks, lunch, kit, certificate and other administrative expenses. CPD points are being applied.

(PASLI).(Acronym and without Inc. will not be accepted).

In celebration of the association’s 40th anniversary, all attendees to this year’s conference shall receive free annual membership for April 2018- April 2019.
