PASLI is the Philippine’s official association of school librarians from both public and private institutions. It unifies all members, together with the school teachers, toward the common goal of enriching students through empowering school libraries.
The main objectives of the association are:
- to encourage the creation of school libraries throughout the country especially in rural areas;
- to foster and maintain among its members high ideals of integrity, learning, professional competence, public service and conduct;
- to encourage and foster a continuing program of library education and research and make recommendations; and,
- to provide a forum for the discussion of school librarianship, library reforms, and relations of librarians to other professions and to the public.
